| Hi Jim! Here is your Daily Feng Shui Tip for Sunday, March 21Something smells pretty darn sweet on 'Fragrance Day' and I'm pretty sure it's an idea I'm cooking up that will help you sell your house lickety split. Research done by several smell institutes (believe it or not there are actually people who research the effects that certain smells and scents have on us) shows that the scent of cinnamon can help unload real estate. I'm so not kidding. Remember the old staging axiom that said that a house that was being shown for sale should have the smell of freshly baked cookies or brewing coffee greet the potential buyers at the door? Well, now, there's research that shows that those two scents can actually turn possible payers off, but that the smell or scent of cinnamon makes people want to spend money. So, whether you're trying to get rid of your white elephant or want to buy one on your next excursion to India, be sure to have the scent of cinnamon wafting around whoever holds the purse strings. Then you can also be sure that you'll also be imbibing the sweet smell of success as well. |
