Hi Jim! Here is your Daily Feng Shui Tip for Saturday, March 6, 2010 shared by: jimmy d. gymmyd@gmail.com As I write this tip today I'm waiting to hear back from my dentist as to when I can get an infected tooth extracted. While I wait I'm also boning up on holistic or alternative cures to help get me past the pain with as much peace of mind as possible. This makes perfect and timely fodder for 'Dentist's Day!' And before I go further I should say that I'm a big baby when any sort of dental work is concerned, but I trust and love my dentist so I'm glad to give him props while giving additional extraction advice to you. Start eating pineapples as soon as you can if you're prepping for dental work. Pineapples offer specific enzymes that help reduce both inflammation and pain and can help in speeding the healing process. Taking 10 mg of vitamin B every day for a week before your dental work will help to greatly reduce the discomfort both during and after the procedures. Your body's lack of thiamine is what allows the pain to become so severe to begin with. If you experience bleeding once the tooth has come out then dip a tea bag in just boiled water, squeeze and allow to cool. Pack the tea bag down on the socket and keep it there for at least 20 minutes. If you want to alleviate pain in a natural way, add a teaspoon of Epsom salts to a cup of hot water and swish away. And let's not forget that old standby clove oil! Just drip a few drops on a cotton ball and place it directly on the aching spot. The pain should diminish enough to allow you to wait out the next spot in the dentist's chair, or even prevent you from taking up real estate in that same space at all. Try these tips if your teeth have got you down in the mouth and then wish your dentist a Happy Dentist Day! You can be sure I'll be doing the same thing in the very near future! | | |
